It has been a while since I wrote. I would like to say that I have been extremely busy in that time, but that would be a lie. However, life has changed somewhat, and is about to change even more. Since last November, I have flown to the states, been there two months, returned to England, had a temp job, started a new proper job only for my Immigrant Visa to come through, resigned from that job, moved the the States, got married, studies Portuguese and I am now preparing for my move to Brasilia with my wife.
So as with most people, I have having issues with change. Not because I am afraid of change itself, but due to the fact that it does bring a lot of uncertainty and also because a lot of the things that I am waiting for right now are out of my hands. I have had to jump through a thousand and one burning hoops for US immigration; I am tired. I need it all to be over.
When it is over, I go to Brazil. You have no idea how excited I am about this. Brazil is awesome. At least I think it is, I guess that I am about to find out. Our wedding will take place in Salvador on the East coast, I shall hopefully be able to do my masters degree out there, and we shall be living in a UNESCO world heritage city. How can I not be excited?
Time to start to catalogue it all. Things are going to move very quickly over the next month, and I need to be able to remember it all when it is over. Plus I have really missed writing. Even though I consider myself to be nothing more than a hack, I still like to do it.
Off to go test drive a Nissan Altima, yep, over here in the states it is ok to drive a Nissan, who would have believed it?
